Activated Carbon

An important part of biogas treatment systems is the removal of hydrogen sulphide and mercaptan. Our activated carbon products ensure the safe removal of hydrogen sulphide. They also protect catalysts from being affected by sulphur-containing compounds and subsequent deactivation.

We at °Celsigas assist our clients to choose the most suitable activated carbon along with a suitable carbon filter design to achieve optimal results. The selection of activated carbon especially depends on chemical composition and physical parameters.

Applications

The desulphurisation of biogas for engines or burners is crucial for a safe and longstanding operation of a plant. Other applications for activated carbon include air purification, solvent- or vapour recovery, waste treatment polishing purposes, the removal of organic compounds and iron particles and wastewater treatment systems.
